Snowed Under...

...by laundry! And I thought I wanted four kids!?!? I can't even keep up with the laundry of 2 kids plus Zaak and myself! I wonder if it would be easier with a dryer...probably. Also once the kids are out of diapers I won't have cloth diapers to hassle with washing. It seems lately that the sunniest, windy days are always on the weekend and so I can't NOT do laundry then when it maight rain all the next week! If it rains a couple of days in a row the clothes do not dry forever! So in case you're wondering, I should be doing some laundry right now! Here I go to do it (sound of feet dragging)...

I don't know how laundry gets done around here. I just show up from work and there are clean clothes in the drawers and closet. I think Dawn has a lot to do with it :-)

We don't have a dryer either. In the winter Dawn hangs up clothes on racks around the wood stove overnight.

If that doesn't work..you could always get Zaak fixed :-)))))

Oh, I feel your pain. I don't have the diapers, but I do have the 4 kids. It is hardest to fold and put them away. I fold when I take them off the line or the clothes rack so that is easier than when I had them in the dryer. When the kids are older they can take care of their own clothes. I hate putting the clothes away, not sure why, but it seems like such a burden. And sorting to each person's pile. I now have the sweeper of the week sort the clothes and make sure the linens are put away. Delegation works well when they are older. Go for the four kids, for in a few years, you will have a few more to which to delegate.

So what changed your mind about the 4 kids? :) I think three was our magic number! We feel quite happy with our little brood of 5.... but still wouldn't mind adopting a little black baby orphan from here... Carl is not up for that yet, but working on him. I really enjoy hanging clothes on the line, but I am like you Dawn.. I dislike folding and putting away. Hope you have a laundry service (also known as husband) come and help you with that pile!!

Sirdars - you don't use a dryer? That's impressive! Is it for environmental or economic reasons?

Zaak - maybe he means to get you fixed as in helping fold the laundry more:)

Mish - I'm not sure what changed my mind about having 4, I think when I wanted 4 I didn't have an inkling as to what all having a child involved! We may still go for 3, and still want to adopt so we'll see what happens:)
