Love Day

We celebrated Valentines Day as a family which was nice. Zaak only arrived home at almost 6 so he wasn't keen on going out again which I could understand. Plus we get to go to a Valentines Dinner on Friday night, so I'm content with that. And Zaak brought me flowers, donuts and some lovely posters to frame. Donuts from the capital are a big deal because they are actually good and sweet, unlike the ones you can buy here in town that look sweet but are barely sweeter than bread. This Valentines Day definitely beats last years as I was sick with a sinus infection and felt like my face was bruised, yeesh. I hope everyone else had an enjoyble Love Day:)

Happy Valentines Day!!

Dawn doesn't really care about holidays like this one. We might go out for dinner one night...but we never go out for Valentines Day. Nor does she care for flowers then. The would rather get them as a surprise on some other day.

The donuts look yummy. Are they better than Tims?

Thanks Lorne:) Way to go Dawn, fight the commercialization of holidays! The donuts are called "American Donuts" and no they don't quite compare to good old Tim Hortons I'm afraid. If you're a donut buff have you tried Krispy Kreme ones yet? They really do melt in your mouth if they're not off the press.

I've never had the pleasure of trying a Krispy Kreme donut. I've heard they are good. I thought they were moving into Canada. Haven't heard of them in Edmonton yet.

I think the only places in Canada you can get a Krispy Kreme are Montreal and Calgary. I heard on CBC Radio when I lived in Montreal how they expected to do a lot better but people are too fiercly loyal to Tim's - pretty cool:)
